The Big Cat Sanctuary
Headcorn Rd, Smarden, Ashford
The Big Cat Sanctuary is set in the heart of the countryside at Smarden, in Kent. A 34 acres site housing over 50 big and small cats. It’s home to the World's smallest (the Rusty Spotted) cat and most endangered (the Amur Leopard), which has fewer than 35 left if the wild worldwide.
The peace and tranquillity of the site provide a perfect setting for the successful breeding of the beautiful, yet endangered cats both large and small within the European Endangered Species Breeding Programme.
A vision of Peter Sampson and the Sampson family; The Big Cat Sanctuary hosts specialised events such as; Ranger for the Day, Big Cat Encounters, Photographic Workshops, Overnight Big Cat Safari Experience and Big Cat Adoptions.
